Richard believes in meaningful design that connects us with each other and our environment. His work illustrates a commitment to thoughtfully crafted landscapes, that respond to the land, site and people.

He is an award winning landscape architect with projects published by Landscape Architecture Aotearoa, Landscape Architecture New Zealand magazine and New Zealand House & Garden magazine.

Richard has been a guest speaker at the Architecture & Design Film Festival in Auckland, the Garden Design Society of New Zealand and the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects. In 2023 he was invited to be a guest lecturer for the BLA at Unitec in Auckland. He wrote and delivered a plants focussed studio (design paper) with the aim of creating a cultural shift in the way we live with our environment.

His experience includes the design of ecologically focussed residential gardens, roof gardens, courtyards, country estates, play spaces, a beer garden, cafe garden and an eco-park.

Richard oozes enthusiasm for gardens, landscapes, plants and people.
